Guidelines: Festive Dance Competition

1. The contest shall primarily be a “MINDANAO FESTIVAL DANCE COMPETITION.”
2. All participating teams in the fiesta should be represented, to allow greater participation of the AdZU community.
3. The participating team shall draw the lots on November 13 to determine the festival in Mindanao to represent in the contest. (note: excluding Zamboanga Hermosa festival).
4. Each participating team must have one official entry comprising of a minimum of 25 and a maximum of 40 DANCERS, excluding musicians.
5. Music may be played live utilizing traditional musical instruments or in cd format, as long as it is appropriate for the dance and the indigenous group represented.
6. Dance steps, costumes, accessories, music and dance properties should be within context of the dance piece.
7. The Performance should not exceed the maximum time of 7 minutes and not less than 5 minutes, including entrance and exit.
8. Professional dance teachers or choreographers may train a competing group.
9. The use of fire and pyrotechnics are strictly prohibited.
10.         There shall be three (3) Adjudicators to judge the dance performance.
11.         The decision of the Panel of Adjudicators is final and irrevocable.
12.         The contest will be held at the MPCC on December 1 at 6:30pm.
13.         Submission of the list of participants shall be on or before November 21, 2014No entries will be accepted after the aforementioned date. Please submit the list to the contact person.CRITERIA for JUDGING

      POINTS:
  • 30 points = First
  • 15 points = Second
  • 10 points = Third
  •  
  • 5 points = Fourth
  •  3 points = Fifth
