General Guidelines for Competition


 The following are expected from the different academic organizations, and/or participating units/teams in the conduct of the different contests: 

TEAM COMPOSITION: 
  • The participating team will compose of bonafide students of Ateneo de Zamboanga University who are officially enrolled during 2nd semester of SY 2014-2015. In the case of the faculty and staff participating team, the participants should be officially working with the University to include canteen personnel, security guards, faculty of the different units, and staff.
 
  • In the case of the different contests, the participating teams are expected to strictly follow the guidelines set by the different organizing committee.
 
  • To maximize participation, each student is only allowed to join a maximum of 2 contest events.
 ROLES: 
  • The Participants:
 
  • Actual participation in the completion of the project of the team/academic organization.
 
  • Display the ID issued by the committee for the entire duration of the contest. (for selected contests only)
 
  • Strictly observe the guidelines stated in the respective contest guidelines.
    
  • The Moderators:
 
  • Supervise the activity but no actual participation in the construction of the project.
 
  • Monitor the progress of the participating team.
 
  • Instruct the participating team to strictly follow the guidelines set for the different contests.
 COMPLAINTS: 
  • All complaints and/or protests must be in writing to be submitted to the Committee Chair of the respective contests before the announcement of the winning teams. Complaints and/or protests done after the announcement of winners by the Judges will no longer be entertained.
 SANCTIONS: 
  • Any participating team found violating the guidelines of the different contests as well as the Ateneo Fiesta 2014 General Guidelines for Contests will be subject to disqualification in the contest where they were found violating such guidelines.
 
  • To maximize participation to Ateneo Fiesta 2014, participating units/teams are encouraged to join all non sports contests.
 
  • Participating team will be awarded additional points given the following conditions:
 o   8-10 contests =    15 pointso   4-7  contests  =    10 pointso   3 contests =    5 points
